This book is where the phrase "Big Brother" comes from. In a time when all thoughts and actions are controlled, the proteganist of the story decides he can't take it anymore. Written in the late 1940s, it was amazing at the forethought Orwell had when writing this book, and how applicable it still is today.

How much control do we let the government/Big Brother have? When do we decide enough is enough and do something about it?
