Snow

by Orhan Pamuk

thumbs down

I thought this would be an interesting book to read. I like to read books that take place in another time or another place. This book takes place Turkey, so I was looking forward to learning about the Turkish culture as I read.

Unfortunately, the book was so boring, I put it down halfway. I decided I didn't want to spend any more time on the book. The story is about a man who fled Turkey and lived for years in Germany. He has now returned for his mother's funeral, but also to find a bride. While back he runs into all sorts of political hoo-ha. Blah, blah, blah. Boring.
