In Praise of Slowness: How a Worldwide Movement is Changing the Cult of Speed

by Carl Honore

thumbs up

This is a non-fiction book telling the different ways people around the globe are deciding not to continue racing through life, but are making subtle changes to enjoy their own pace. It doesn't tell that you must be slow at everything everyday, but instead to realize when your culture is hurrying you. The book tries to empower the reader into choosing when to hurry and allowing oneself time to be slow.
